My roommate is obsessed with our school’s chicken bacon ranch pizza, which is served every Thursday. For our latest episode of Foodonia we took a shot at making it.
-One pizza dough (we just bought the frozen kind that you thaw and toss)
-1/2 cup ranch (…ish)
-2 chicken cutlets or one small chicken breast
-2-3 strips bacon
-Bunch of sliced scallions
If you have a frozen dough make sure you thaw it, cover it with a damp hot towel, and let it rise for a couple of hours. It will be ten times easier to stretch. Before starting anything else preheat your oven to whatever your dough requires (usually something like 425 degrees). Cook the chicken (in a Foreman of course, ZAP out that fat!!) and get the bacon ready; we used the bacon you buy and microwave for 30 seconds. It’s easy plus she said it tastes good. Once you have that going and the dough ready, spread out the ranch like you would a red sauce. Layer cheese on, as well as the chopped up chicken, bacon, and scallions. Top witha a little bit more mozzerella cheese (I find that this helps keep the toppings on while you’re eating) and bake for about 22 minutes, depending on your oven and cooking temp.
Let it cool for a little bit and slice it up!
